Campus Involvement

Campus Involvement

Sigma Kappa encourages our members to be involved in our campus and community. Because of this focus on involvement outside of Sigma Kappa, our sisters are able to engage with the Embry-Riddle community in ways that are important to them by hosting and participating in a number of different events.

Academic Honor Societies

One of the most important types involvement outside of Sigma Kappa we pride ourselves on is the tremendous amount of sisters we have that are apart of various academic honor societies. Extending from:

  • American Institute of Astronautics & Aeronautics (AIAA) - Design, Build, & Fly
  • Society of Women Engineers (SWE)
  • Alpha Omicron Alpha Aeronautical Honor Society
  • Women in Aviation
  • XJEP (Experimental Jet Engine Propulsion)
  • SASE (Society of Asian Scientists and Engineers)

We have a vast amount of women in the Lambda Kappa chapter that are also student-athletes. They proudly represent Embry-Riddle through their collegiate sports teams, ranging from Track & Field, Lacrosse, and Cheerleading.

Children's Miracle Network - Dance Marathon

Dance Marathon at Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University, is one piece in a larger international movement of students committed to enhancing the lives of both kids and families affected by childhood injury and illness. We are committed to fundraising for children being treated in our local hospital, Orlando Health Arnold Palmer Hospital. We are pleased to say that several Sigma Kappa's held numerous leadership positions within Dance Marathon at ERAU such as the Internal Director and the Recruitment Director.
